Before  the Great Depression in Germany in 1929–1930, Nazi Party  was a small party. During 1930–1933  Germany was in a tense state. The worldwide economic depression had hit the country hard, and a great part of the population had no work. The unemployment was more because of the Germany's national humiliation after defeat in World War 1. Many perceived the parliamentary government coalition as weak and unable to alleviate the economic crisis which led to fear and perception of worse times to come. There was  anger and impatience amongst the people because of  the apparent failure of the government to manage the crisis, offered an opportune ground for the rise of Adolf Hitler and his Nazi Party.
