Answer: The theme of the poem is that no live can obtain perfection and happiness if it is deprived of freedom .The poem makes it clear that if the childhood is unhappy , the young is cannot be.If a young plant is striped of spring it cannot bear fruits in summer . Simmlarly a young burned with a heavy bag cannot grow up to be a joyful youth . In this poem the poet gives an example of small school boy . The boy says that he is send by his parents though he does not like it . He does not enjoy his studies in school under strict discipline . He lives for freedom
