Ladakh is a cold desert situated in India. The climate  of Ladhak is as follows:

  1. Rainfall: Ladakh receives no rainfall. The annual rainfall is as low as 10 cm.
  2. Snowfall: The winds entering through the passes bring heavy snowfall during winter.
  3. Temperature: The temperature in summer varies between 30° during the day and -3° Celsius at night. In winter temperature remains below the freezing point during the day and reaches -35° at night.
  4. Winds: Western disturbances from central Asia brings snowfall which feeds the glaciers.
