Photosynthesis is a process used by plants and other organisms to convert light energy into chemical energy that, through cellular respiration, can later be released to fuel the organism's activities. It is the process by which plants make their own food in presence of water , sunlight and carbon dioxide . Oxygen is released in this process . Photo means light and synthesis means to put together .
