Status is the position of a person in one society while the role is the act or doing in one society. They are linked together in a sense that, the role that you play in a society influence a person's status. A good role incurs a good status while a bad role makes a bad status

The role is the objective that an individual has to accomplish in a given sector and time of the economy. It may be either political, religious, social or even economical.

The status is the rank of the individual in question it may be about the social rank or the political rank of an individual in the society.
