Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar struggled throughout his life against the oppressive caste system. He was the architect of the Indian Constitution. He was born into Mahar caste. The members of this community were considered untouchables. He too had a first hand experience of the oppressive caste system. He organized the All India Sheduled Castes Federation for the eradication of untouchability.
