1. All the taxes were paid by the people of the third Estate.The members of the first two Estates were exempted from all the taxes.
2. The government was under heavy debt.
After French revolution,
1.Taxes were levied according to the income and wealth.

the economic condition of franceformed another cause for the outbreak of the french revolution.The economic condition of france became poor due to foreign wars of louisXIV, the 7 yrs war of louisXV and other expensive wars. During the reign period of louis XIV , they royal treasury beacome empty as extravegant expenses on his queen Marie Antoinette.
