When a spherical mirrpr is held towards sun and its sharp image is formed on piece ofcarbon paper for sometime a hole is burnt in carbon paper

First of all it is a concave lense which bends the highly energetic beams from sun to a point at focus. Then the energy is transmitted to paper increasing temperature cause a burn hole
