Answer:

The partician of Rome, had a long lasting effect of Medieval Europe. It had simply grown too big to manage, and a series of really poor emperors led to Diocleation seizing power in 285AD, and splitting the empire into two. Roman book production, was carried out by slaves, and papyrus from Egypt was shipped to both halves of the empire. However, the book was in fact about 20 sheets of papyrus glued together, called a volumen, and it fit into the hand. They were easily damaged, and more so in the damp western Empire. Parchment, invented in modern day Turkey, was better, but under originally under control of the Eastern Empire.

So younhad a situation that more ancient manuscripts of science survived in the Eastern Empire due to its climate, and materials for scribes to,use that did in the Western Half. Control by the church actually restricted information in the early Holy Roman Empire by the time the monasteries had caught up with book production, and it was not until the late medieval that this re-discovery occured.

The Renaissance officially started in April 1204, when the Venitians paid to transport crusaders to the holly land decided to attack the Bzyntanine capital Constantinople instead. Part of the loot they stole was a treasure House of forgotten manuscripts. Over the next two huNdred years, Italian artists, mathematicians and scientists were creeping ahead of the rest. Jealous that Venice was ahead in then science game, Spanish kings paid Jewish scibes tomtranslate arabic manuscripts and when the city of Grenada fell in 1492, the rebirth was in full swing. But the real start as I said was in 1204, for it started a chain of events that led to the shift of intellectuals from Eastern Europe to the West.

The core concept of the Renaissance is that man was put into the centre of all things, rather than god, humanism, and the first real evidence of this is the writings of Dante, and Giotos art in Florence in late 13th century. It took about 80 years for the works of classical greek writiers like Protagoras to filter down into the chined libraries of Italian universities. The final kickstart was after the Venitians had sacked the city, it was left vunerable to the Ottomans, and fell to them in 1453. Waves of Greek refugees migrated to find a new life in Italy, many of the scolars headed to cities like Florence which had large collections of stolen manuscripts to translate.

Note: It cannot be made shorter than this it is a wide range of events like the ww2.Even i have cut short some non relavent points to make it this short.
