2. Then we have written the equation as:

x+x+1+x+2 = 36

addition of like terms gave:

3x+3 = 36

transposing of (3) gave :

3x = 36-3

3x= 33

x= 33÷3

x=11

3. Then we have got the values as:

x = 11

x+1 = 12

x+2 = 13

So , the consecutive odd numbers that give 36 when added are 11 , 12 , 13.
