Discuss the hierarchy in 80 to 100 words

A hierarchy is a system of groups and/or people that have different levels of power where the group/people with the most power is/are at the top, and the group/people with the least amount of power at the bottom.

As for what Merriam-Webster says (I’m assuming you mean the aforementioned system):

“a ruling body of clergy organized into orders or ranks each subordinate to the one above it; especially the bishops of a province or nation”
