The liberalization policies were introduced in 1991 by the Congress
Government for the purpose of restructuring the Indian economy. Foreign
investments have paved way for increasing the economic growth and development of
India by various means. Some of these methods are employment generation,
technology transfer and better access to various sectors such as product
markets, product distribution network, global capital and managerial expertise.
It has also helped India to achieve financial stability to a considerable
extent.

Ever since 1991, the government of India gave much significance on liberalization of policies for luring the foreign direct investments.
This had a huge impact on India.
There was more employment, economic growth due to use of better technology, improved access to expertise in management and sustaining in the global scene.
