The main features of the life of the Dhangars are as follows.
(1) They are wanderers and are listed as a nomadic tribe of the state.
(2) They are mainly cattle herders who live their livelihood by maintaining cattles and doing some small peasant jobs.
(3) They worship different types of gods that include Vishnu, mahalaxmi, Shiva and Parvati as their kuldevi. They worship these deities at a temple that is nearest to them.
