The use of currencies in trade and exchange is the biggest achievement of this era.

Earlier Shilpi and Karigar used to work under the control of the state. At this time they became independent.

By this time the industries had been localized. This period was a period of culmination in the history of crafts and commerce.

Shreni, Nigam, Puig and Sarthwa etc. were trading organizations.

Major cities like Malwa, Kaushambi, Gandhar, Taxila, Mathura and Indore were developed.

Trade flourished during 200 B.C to 200 A.D and this resulted in more money which therefore led to development of new towns and cities.

There was an increase in trade of Bombay and many Romans visited South India in search of luxirious good items.

During this time, many mines came up which led to working with gold, silver, zinc, lead, tin, copper, iron, jewels and many precious stones.
