William Blake's "Holy Thursday", is a poem, from the collection of his work 'Songs of Innocence'. The themes are explained as,

a. Orphaned Children: In this poem, the poet brings out the innocence of  orphaned little children.  Six thousand children, march towards St.Paul's church, to sing in the Cathedral. The poet compares them to beautiful flowers along river Thames. The poet  wishes to convey that the children, are like angels, pure in heart and so, it is better to love them, than drive them away.

b. Innocence and Experience: The theme of innocence is the base of the poem. But the innocence we have in our childhood, changes with experience. Innocence and experience are like two opposite poles. They rarely exist together.
