1• In females, ovaries release ovum or egg once every 28 days from the egg of puberty.

2•The uterus prepares itself every month to receive a fertilised egg.

3• Thus its lining becomes thick and spongy.

4• If the egg is not fertilised it lives for about a day.

5• Afterwards this lining of uterus is not longer required and mensuration occurs.

6• Mensuration is the time of uterine bleeding in which and unfertilized egg and the thick uterine lining

7•It occurs through the vagina as blood and mucus.

8• Mensuration cycle last for 2 to 8 days.
