the Bundela Rajputs. Shah Jahan crushed the revolt easily. There was a revolt in the

Deccan too. Shah Jahan invaded the Deccan and annexed Ahmednagar in 1633. Golconda

and Bijapur signed a peace treaty with Shah Jahan. He also sent his army to Balkh and

Badakshan in Central Asia. However, this campaign failed. He could not recover Kandahar

from the ruler of Persia.
