the process of nutrition in amoeba is termed as phagocytosis

1)mode of nutrition in amoeba- holozoic nutrioin

2)amoeba grabs it food by using some temporary finger like structures called pseudopodias

3)it gets the food into its body in a food vacuole where the digestion takes place

4)inside the food vacuole digestive enzymes are released which converts and breakdowns the food particles into simpler substances

5)which then diffuses into the cytoplasm and the waste reamins of food thrown out

hope this will help you
