So, british passed strict laws and banned the import of textiles in britain.  4) Also, India had no support from the colonial British government.

• The main reason of decline of Indian industry is the oppression of the craftsman by the servants of the East India company, high import duties and the restrictions imposed on the import of Indian goods into Britain and Europe.
• After the Indian revolution, Britain started to produce textiles in factories those were of better quality and comparatively cheaper than textiles of India. The British Government stopped to support India.
• Stiff competition against Mill made goods of England, The high taxes imposed on the Indian cotton goods by the British government were also the reason of decline of Indian industries.
• India's export of cotton textiles and apparel decline by a mere 16.5 per cent to touch $9.42 billion for the period between April 2019 and February 2020.

Hence this are reasons why Indian Industries were decline.
