Lenin was one of the most important leaders of Bolshevik party . It was he who led the Russian revolution of 1917 . He was exiled for taking part in the 1905 revolution .

He declared that the war be brought to a close, land be transferred to peasants, and banks be nationalised. These three demands were Lenin''s April theses .

He also argued that the Bolsheviks party renamed itself the communist party to indicate it's new radical aims .
