This is not just a copy paste answer, I did a little research to write this answer.
Women played very prominent roles in Nationalist struggle all over the world. They stood with their male counterparts and spread the idea of liberal nationalism and also were members of various Revolutionary organizations.
The French revolution is a good example in which men and women participated equally.
→They started their own clubs and newspapers.
→One of the most famous political clubs was the Society of Revolutionary and Republican Women.
→They were disappointed by the Constitution of 1971 which designated them, passive citizens.
→The Society demanded equal political rights as men.
→They wanted to vote, and stand in elections for political office.
This was one of the first instances where women demanded and fought for their rights.
Their involvement pressurized the revolutionary govt to improved their conditions. they were given
→right to education,
→not to marry against their will,
→Divorce were made legal and they can apply for it,
→training for jobs etc.
Their struggle for right to vote,equal wages inspired many around the world, Finally they were given voting rights in 1946.
