Male sex chromosomes : XY

Female sex chromosomes : XX

If any X of female fuses with Y of male then It will produce a male progeny i.e. With XY chromosomes.

But if any X of female fuses with Xchromosome of male then a female progeny will take birth. i.e. With XX chromosomes.

There are 50% chances of male child and 50% of female child.

The ratio comes as : XX :XY :XY :XX

i.e. 1:2:1

Explanation:

'xx' chromosomes are present in women body and 'xy' chromosomes are present in the men body . when 'xx' chromosomes forms i.e. x from women and x from men so it forms girl child and when 'xy' chromosomes forms i.e. x from women and y from men so it forms boy child.
