This is quite an interesting question to answer.

Well, as the Holy Bible goes, Eve was the first woman to be created by God from the flesh of Adam. So, as you know, Satan upon hearing the news, wanted to destroy God's creation.

The Father or the Creator (God) strictly prohibited Adam and Eve from eating the Apple from the Tree of Wisdom, rooted in the centre of Garden of Eden. But, the story puts Eve as the main culprit behind man's fall.

How did Eve become responsible? Well, according to Bible, the Apple was the fruit which could inflict wisdom or sense into the innocent and pure minds of those two first human beings.

Satan, one day, disguised as serpent broke into the Garden where Eve was sleeping and somehow encourages her to eat the apple. As a result, Eve made Adam eat the fruit of wisdom with her.

And then they were banished from heaven and thrown upon earth to suffer and reproduce.

Now, the concept of a female partner insisting the man to do something horrendous is active both in the Adam and Eve story and "Macbeth".

Even if Macbeth has the ambitions to be the ruler, the angle gets turned a little bit towards Lady Macbeth to be the sole instigator.

Lady Macbeth's courage and valour add to Macbeth's evil ambition is what influences the latter to commit the crime. Through his wife's taunting or encouraging lines Macbeth did the unthinkable. But the question remains unanswered.

If Lady Macbeth is responsible for Macbeth's moral fall, then how does Macbeth murder Banquo and the others without telling his wife? The answer is pretty simple yet complicated. Well, ofcourse, L. Macbeth is the supporter in that crime but not wholly responsible for the heinous act itself.

Just like eating the apple was a crime against the God. Similarly, a King represents the God in Christian culture. So in both cases the couples do a horrible crime against the Almighty.

Therefore, it can be compared.

Answer:

You could argue that like Eve, she tempted her man into doing something wrong. Eve persuaded Adam to taste of the fruit while Lady Macbeth persuaded Macbeth to murder Duncan.
