Germany had formally surrendered on November 11, 1918, and all nations had agreed to stop fighting while the terms of peace were negotiated. On June 28, 1919, Germany and the Allied Nations (including Britain, France, Italy and Russia) signed the Treaty of Versailles, formally ending the war.

Hello there...
Germany surrendered to the allies on 11 November 1918, which was the Armistice day.
The Treaty of Versailles was signed in France.
1. Germany had to pay 33 billion dollars as war indemnity.
2. The Rhine valley was to be completely demilitarised.
3. Germany had to return Alsace-Lorraine to France (which France had lost in Franco-Prussian war of 1870).
4. Germany had to give the Saar Basin to France for 15 years and supply coal to the allies for 10 years.
5. Germany's military power was crushed...the military was limited to one lakh men, navy to 15000, only 36 ships were allowed to be kept and air force and U-boats were banned.
6. Germany had to give all annexed properties of Czechoslovakia, Poland, and Eupen and Malmedy to Belgium.
Hope this helps..
The above were the terms of the Treaty of Versailles..
Thanks!!
