Browsers means the internet web pages ?

In Brief:

      Web pages are displayed by internet browsers. There are two types of points that we need to concentrate upon. The content that will be read by the audience.  The way information is organized in hierarchy, forms, links, images, audio etc., is information management.  Then the presentation of information by divisions and frames. Creating separate boxes or frames on the left side, on the top, bottom, to the right and in the center part. All these show information pertaining to one aspect of the web page or site.


In Detail:

   If one is writing for display on web pages, then one needs to be careful about the content and how it is organized on the web pages.

   We do not want to clutter a lot of information on the web pages.  We need to make the design simple.  Especially when the site is used on mobile phones, using mobile apps, the design needs to be simple.

   If the web page is meant for children, then more care is to be taken in keeping the design simple. Then viewers are not confused.

   It is important to keep information steady and without too quick flickers. As then users are not able to view information properly.  The borders, font, and writing styles should be simple and elegant rather than too emphasized. The web page should be eye pleasing.

  There should not be too much of text in one place.  Hierarchical presentation of data may be done. So links to important functionalities could be provided. Then navigation through the web pages will be easier to go forward and backward in the tree of web pages.

   The web pages may be refreshed each time they are clicked on so that if there are updates they are shown.

   There should not be ambiguity or duplication in the data presented or data sought from the user.  If there are some data sought from user, perhaps some example of how the data looks like may be shown. So user does not make mistakes.

   Also the data like passwords must be encrypted and passed on. They should not be displayed.  A proper contact address,email etc. may be mentioned on the webpage at the bottom.

  Using tables, lists is important.  Tool tips or alternate text is also good to display. One should divide the page in frames, left side, middle , top, center and bottom frames (divisions).

   As the web pages are viewed by a lot of people, more care should be taken regarding the eye-pleasing font, spelling mistakes and correct grammar. It is preferable to write simple and short sentences. Long sentences could be difficult to concentrate and comprehend.  If possible, links to useful sites could be provided. Copying content directly from other web sites should be avoided. Instead permission could be sought for including link to the target page.
