Cultural views of an individual or a community can affect relationships in positive as well as negative ways. The views can be religious, social, mythology or traditions and they can have a great impact on a person or society at large.
The following are two ways that may affect relationships:
a) Religious affinity of an individual, if he is very intolerant, may affect his family and close friends very strongly. His discussions on the matter or criticism of the other faith may either upset or influence people around and it may damage their own judgement.
b) Social customs and traditions are formed by society to give direction and discipline our life. They should change with the changing society and its requirements. Individuals who are dogmatic and adhere strictly to customs may affect the healthy growth of society as it limits an individual to flower and grow. For example if parents restrict their children from choosing their life, it can affect their relationship and stunt their growth.
Two ways how a cultural view can affect a relationship are:
1) Religious affinity of an individual: If he or she is intolerant it may affect his close friend circles directly because his discussion are rather important for the other person to survive in his surroundings.
2) social customs and traditions: Because these are formed by the society to give a discipline to the life because they change with the change in society and environment.
