discuss why ganga , brahmputra delta is known as the flood of the india

Maybe because Ganga and Brahmaputra are rivers that originate from Himalayan and don't depend on rains .they are full throughout the year.but in rainy season since the are already full they overflow because of rain water and flood many times.
