Ozone hole does not literally mean a hole in the ozone layer. It is actually the depletion or the thinning of the ozone layer due to certain chemicals called CFCs ( Chloro Fluorocarbon) which is used in refrigerators and in perfumes.These CFCs react with the ozone layer causing the reduction of the ozone layer.

CONSEQUENCES:
Ozone layer protects us from the harmful Ultra violet rays of the sun. If ozone layer depletes then these harmful rays can enter through the layer and this can cause skin cancer and many other diseases in both humans and animals.

ozone hole is the depletion in the ozone layer due to harmful gases like CFC's etc. it is very dangerous as if ozone layer depletes, UV rays and other harmful rays from sun can enter our earth and cause dieases like sikn cancer etc
