how badly Germany was treated in the treaty of Versailles. After having a hasty defeat in world war 1 , there was very much aggression among the Germans and that also because of the heavy reparation that Germany had to pay to winner countries , about 6.6 billion Euros. Like I agree that only Germany was not a single country that was defeated in the war , there were Austria - Hungary too that were defeated. But the war reparations had to be paid by Germany only.
So , after the war was over and Germany painfully accepted its defeat , Adolf Hitler who was only a soldier fighting on the side of Germany , went into deep sorrow by the unjust with Germany at Versailles .

He started giving speeches in the streets of Munich , a German city and dared to said those things which the germans know but didn't dared to say publicly. He rose hope of revenge in the blood of Germans. With this , he in 1919 joined the German workers party , which he renamed as National socialist german workers party or known as NSDAP. Later this came to be known as the Nazi party. The Germans saw a new and rising leader in hitler, so they voted for his party in 1930s elections in which the Nazis got 107 votes. This was the highest ratio of votes in the 1930s elections.

Numerous public meetings were held by the Nazi Party to instil unity among the people.

The red banners, the Nazi salute, and the rounds of applause attracted the people and Nazism became very popular. The Meetings projected Hitler as a saviour of Germany. The German people who were shattered after the First World War believed him
