DISCUSS WHY THE MUGHALS WERE INTERESTED IN THE LAND OF THE GONDS

The mughals wanted to expand their empire.The gonds controlled a large territory and they were the enemies of emperor Akbar.The gonds also had huge resources of elephants which were very useful in warfare,so therefore they were interested in the land of Gonds.

because the gond was very famous specially garh kattanga it was very famous at that time as the rulers were also very popular and the land was very fertile there were almost 8000 villages in that that's why they wanted to conquer on this region
