Water should not be used on an electrical fire because water conducts electricity and can cause a shock. The best way to extinguish an electrical fire is to starve it of oxygen, without which no fire can burn.

As water isn't used for extinguishing fire caused due to electrical faults as bcz we know that water is a good conductor of electricity and it can allow electricity to pass through it so,the person carrying extinguisher can get a shock due to this,As electricity passes through the water and reached out to the body of that person and we know that humans are also good conductor of electricity so,we can say that the person may get an electric shock due to which the person may die also and may get injured very badly so,water isn't used to extinguish such fires it is v.harmful and dangerous.
Hope it's helpful.......
