Some of the risks faced by mountaineers are:

Altitude Sickness:

One of the main problems mountaineers face is altitude sickness due to less amount of oxygen at height. They can bear the situation but up to a limit.  

Temperature:

At a height of 8,800m approximately, the temperature decreases drastically (57C less than the sea level). At this point, even the heat coming from sun rays becomes less effective.  

Falls:

Falling from higher crams due to slip or careless moments can be fatal.
