1 ) CHOLERA :-

✓ Drink clean and safe water only
✓ Keep food away from insects and rats by covering it.
✓ Wash and cook food properly
✓ Dispose of human waste properly
✓ Use the toilet properly and clean it everyday . Wash your hands with soap and water after using the toilet and before eating .
✓ Keep your surroundings clean to prevent files , insects and rodents from breeding .

2 ) HEPATITIS A :-

✓ Wash your hands after using the toilet , before preparing food and before eating.
✓ Practice safe handling and storage of food and water.
✓ Dispose of human waste properly.
✓ Thoroughly cook oysters , clams and other shellfish for 4 minutes or steam it for 1 minute and 30 seconds .

3 ) TYPHOID FEVER :-

✓ Avoid drinking untreated water
✓ Boil water for drinking or do water chlorination.
✓ Cook food well and always cover food to prevent contamination from flies and other insects .
✓ Keep your surroundings clean to prevent breeding of flies .
✓ Avoid eating unsanitary street-vended foods and wash your hands with soap and water after using the toilet and before eating.
✓ Get immunized with who pre-qualified oral injectable vaccines .

4 ) INFLUENZA :-

✓ Wash hands frequently.
✓ Avoid crowded places .
✓ Cover your mouth and nose while sneezing or coughing .
✓ Minimise contact and distance yourself by at least 1 Meyer from the infected person .
✓ Annual flu vaccine

5 ) LEPTOSPIROSIS :-

✓ Use boots and gloves .
✓ Avoid swimming and wading in the flood water.
✓ Maintain cleanliness of the house .
✓ Control rodents in the household by using rat traps or rat poison .
✓ Drain potentially contaminated water .

6 ) DENGUE :-

✓ Collect and dispose unusable tin cans , jars , bottles and other items that can collect or hold water .
✓ Replace water in flower vases once a week.
✓ Clean all water containers once a week . Scrub the sides well to remove the eggs of mosquitoes sticking in the side .
✓ Cove water drums and water pails all the time to prevent mosquitoes to from breeding .
✓ Puncture or cut old tires used a roof support to avoid accumulation of water .
✓ Clean gutters of leaves and debris so that rainwater will not collect as breeding places of mosquitoes .
