Explanation:The diseases mainly are

1)Simple goitre:Deficiency in iodine in diet results in low secretion of thyroid hormone resulting in enlargement of thyroid gland.

2)Cretinism:failure of thyroid secretion in childhood causes stunted and mentally retarded low IQ.

3)Myxedema:also known as gulls diseases,is due to deficiency of thyroid hormone in adults.It occurs more commonly in females.The patient may appear puffy,lacjs alertness,lntelligence etc.

NB:In human female (adult) hypothyroidism may causes irregular menstrual cycle.
