The mechanism through which the seeds of the plant are dispersed form one place to another it is called as dispersal mechanism. Usually, this is carried out by agents such as:

  • Wind
  • Water
  • Animal
  • Birds

The dispersal mechanism in tomato is carried out by the animals and birds which consumes it as its food. The tomato is liked by all sorts of animals and birds. When they eat the vegetable, the seeds of the vegetable upon completion of the digestion process, they get excreted out through excretion process. By this way the seed of tomato gets dispersed form one place to another.
