Hey there !!

Displacement is the shortest distance possible between initial and final position.
It is not always necessary that when displacement is zero , distance need not be always zero.

Distance becomes zero when the object is at rest  [ when it is not moving ]

Lets take an example where displacement is zero , but distance covered is not zero.:
An object moving in circular path has displacement zero .
This is because the initial and final position are the same.
But , in this case , even if displacement is zero , distance covered is not zero and is equal to the circumference of the circle

-----------------------------------------------------

If the distance traveled is zero,  then it means  the  person or the body is at rest.[ did not move from initial position]
Hence, in such case ,  the displacement is zero.

Yes it is true.

Displacement may be zero even if the distance is not zero.

Displacement is the shortest distance travelled from initial point to the final point.

Let's take an example, where distance has some magnitude and Displacement hasn't.

An object moving in a circular path.

Here distance is the circumference of that circle. But displacement is zero cause there is no distance between Initial point and final point.

Displacement need not be zero even if the distance is not zero.

DISPLACEMENT IS ZERO WHEN DISTANCE IS ZERO.

A person is just standing at a point. the distance is 0. And the displacement is also 0.
