IT CAN BE ON STRAIGHT LINE AS UNIFORM MOTION IS DEFINED AS THE CONSTANT MOTION OF AN OBJECT IN PARTICULAR TIME INTERVAL...

It can be so as an object is said to in uniform motion when it covers equal distance in equal intervals of time. No matter how small is the time interval. It does not depend on direction in which the object is moving.
