Dissolution of a sugar cube in water is a physical change while burning a sugar cube is a
chemical change. WHY?

Dissolution of sugar cube in water is a physical change since the water can be evaporated to get the sugar back.

While on burning sugar cube, it changes into a brownish substance(caramel), from which sugar cannit be obtained back.
