The correct answer is option A- direct relationship  

We are familiar with the term crossing over that takes place during meiosis in which non-sister chromatids cross over which results in recombination of different genes hence cause variations in traits.

So, the distance between gene and recombination is direct because when genesa re away from each other they have low recombination frequencies.
