We have, for a wheel

=> d = 35cm

=> r = 35/2 cm (d = 2r)

Distance in 1 revolution = Circumference

=> Circumference = 2πr

2 × 22 / 7 × 35 / 2

=> 22 x 5

=> 110 cm

=> 110 / 100 =>1.1 m

Thus the wheel will cover 1.1m in one revolution

Given :  A wheel of diameter 35cm

To Find : Distance (in metres) covered by wheel in one revolution

1.1

2.2

9625

96.25

Solution:

Wheel Diameter = 35 cm

Radius = Diameter/2

=> Wheel radius = 35/2 cm

Distance covered   in one revolution   = Circumference of Wheel

Circumference  of a circle = 2πr

π = 22/7

r = 35/2 cm

Hence circumference of the wheel = 2 (22/7) (35/2)

= 22 * 5

= 110 cm

Hence Distance covered by wheel  in one revolution = 110 cm

100 cm = 1 m

=> 110 cm = 1.1 m

Distance covered by wheel  in one revolution =  1.1 m

Correct option is  1.1
