distilled water does not conduct electric current whreas rainwater does , why?

Pure water is an excellent Insulator... Whereas water in our homes, rainwater etc. are conductors as they contain minerals(ions) in them, being charged particles, can conduct electricity... As electricity is nothing but moving charged particles...
