1.The western ghats is to the west deccan plateau. Eastern ghats is to the east of the deccan plateau.

2.The western ghats run in North-south direction. on the other hand the eastern ghats run in southwest-northeast direction.

3.The western ghats is comparatively narrower. the eastern ghats is comparatively wider.

4. the altitude of western ghats is high. the altitude of the Eastern ghats is comparatively low.

5. comparatively more number of rivers originates from the western ghats. comparatively less number of rivers originates from the Eastern ghats.
