Parasites are the living organisms which obtain food from other plants and animals on or in which they live.
Organism from which the parasite obtains food is called host.
Some common examples of plant are Rafflesia, Cuscuta, Mistletoe, Viscum, etc.
Saprotroph:-
Saprotrophs are organisms which feed on dead and organic matter.
These organisms derive their food from these dead plants or animals.
Other examples of saprotrophs are Monotropa and some types of bacteria.
