distinguish between acid and alkali(other than indicator)

Acids are the chemical substances that yields H+ ions when is dissolved in water. Whereas alkali is a type of base that is soluble in water.
All acids have hydrogen but all hydrogen containing substances are not acids .
All alkali are bases but all bases are not alkalis.
