Sekhar gives a quarter of his sweets to renu and then gives 5 sweets to raji.h e has 7 sweets left. How many did he ha e to start with?

and he gave 5 sweets to raji
so 7+5=12
means he had 12 sweets after giving quarter of sweets to renu
quarter means 1/4
so
let , Shekhar had X no. of sweets ........
so X = 1/4x + 12
x-1/4x=12
4-1/4x=12
3/4x=12
3x=12*4
3x=48
X=48/3
X=16......
so he Shekhar had 12 sweets
