Difference between acidity of bases and basicity of acids

Explanation:

Acidity of a Base :

The number of replaceable hydroxyl ions in a base is called acidity of that base.

For example :

Potassium hydroxide and sodium hydroxide each has one replaceable hydroxyl group , hence its acidity is one and we call it mono acidic.

Basicity  of Acid :

Basicity of Acid is the maximum number of hydrogen ions that is produced when one molecule of an acid ionizes in water .

Monoprotic acid : Hydrochloric acid  and nitric acid

Diprotic acid : Sulphuric acid
