Distinguish between Androecium and Gynoecium.

The main difference between androecium and gynoecium is that androecium refers to male part of flower (stamen) it produces pollengrain while gynocium refers to female part of flower (pisitil) it produces ovules.

The androecium or the stamen is the male reproductive unit of the flower comprising of anther and filament involving the production and release of pollen grains.

The gynoecium or the pistil is the female reproductive unit of the flower comprising of stigma, style and ovary producing the ovule and aids in fertilization.
