wastes which can be rendered harmless by biological process are called biodegradable.
wastes which cannot be rendered harmless by biological process are called non biodegradable.

Biodegradable wastes are the wastes which are degradable naturally and instantly but non-biodegradable wastes are the wastes which cannot easily degrade and remain in the environment and it pollute environment
. Example of biodegradable wastes are vegetables wastes etc. Example of non biodegradable wastes are plastics,etc.
