Biodegradable wastes are those kind of wastes which can be broken down or decomposed by action of microorganisms like bacteria. Eg - Vegetable peels, paper, etc.
Non biodegradable wastes are those kinds of wastes which cannot be decomposed by any means. Eg- Plastic.

biodegradable substances- a substance which get decomposed by natural processes are called biodegradable substances. for example:- paper, cloth, wood etc.
non biodegradable substances- a substance which is not decomposed by natural processes or any other process is called non biodegradable substances. for example:- polythene, metal cans, etc.
