Central Highlands
They extend to the northland of the Narmada river. River Narmada is the principal river that arises from the Central Highlands and moves towards the West that is in the areas of Rajasthan and Gujarat.
They are surrounded by the Vindhya range, Malwa, Aravali mounts and Chotanagpur Plateau. The Chota Nagpur Plateau indicate its eastwards expansion and its slope is from west to east.
Deccan Pleatue
They extend to the southland of the Narmada river. They have surrounded the Eastern Ghats and the far-western ghats. Kaimur Hills, the Mahadev, and Maikal highlands make its eastward part. Its inclination is from southwest to northeast Its principal rivers are the Godavari, Krishna, and Kaveri, move from the Western Ghats eastward to the Bay of Bengal.
